Urine Pregnancy Test- Qualitative

A qualitative test is a type of test that determines whether a woman is pregnant or not.

30 min
35 US dollars
West Parmer Lane

Service Description

The test detects the presence of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine. hCG is produced by the placenta after a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. Levels of hCG increase rapidly in the early stages of pregnancy. To perform a qualitative urine pregnancy test, a woman must collect a urine sample in a clean container. The test typically consists of a test strip or a test cassette. The woman then places the test strip or dips the test cassette into the urine sample, following the instructions provided with the test kit. After a few minutes, the test strip or cassette will display the results. The results of a urine pregnancy test are typically indicated by the appearance of lines or symbols on the test device. A positive result is indicated by the presence of a line or symbol, indicating that hCG is detected in the urine and that the woman is pregnant. A negative result is indicated by the absence of a line or symbol, suggesting that hCG is not detected in the urine and that the woman is not pregnant. It is important to note that a urine pregnancy test qualitatively provides a simple "yes" or "no" answer to whether a woman is pregnant or not. It does not provide information about the duration of pregnancy or the viability of the pregnancy. If a woman gets a positive result, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider for further confirmation and to discuss next steps.
